WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS ALONG GEORGETOWN ROAD SR 60 NEAR WESTON HILLS, LENOX HILLS AND VILLA DRIVE AREA BEGINNING MONDAY, MAY 6, 2024

Please be advised

The TDOT contractor is installing new water mains as part of the SR 60 (Georgetown Road) roadway construction.   The contractor will be completing transfers from the old water mains to the new water mains beginning on Monday, May 6, lasting for several days.

Water service interruptions will take place in the following areas: Georgetown Road between Greenfield Avenue and Paul Huff Parkway, Weston Hills, Lenox Hills, Kimberly Drive, Villa Drive, Brighton Boulevard, Coventry Court, and Westhaven Place.

Customers in the area should experience only one or two water service interruptions lasting for a few hours each time.   Scheduled water service interruptions will not begin before 9:00 a.m.

After the water service interruptions, some customers may notice cloudy or milky water as a result of the work.   The cloudiness is a result of extra air that entered the distribution system and plumbing.  The water is safe to drink. The cloudiness can generally be cleared by flushing cold water for 3 to 5 minutes.
